Tender manager job description3/11/2023 ![]() ![]() *Experience and knowledge of the Project, Oil and Gas and Marine Logistics industries *Increase the level of knowledge within the bid engineering team in regard to new technologies. *Support the Operations team in handing over knowledge of successful bids and supporting them in delivering to clients and internal expectations within approved budget and design *Maintain accurate lessons learned, win/loss reports for each bid via Post proposal De Briefs *In line with Senior Management directives, challenge of individual discipline costs to achieve best technical and price solution ![]() *Collate methodologies and write cohesive tender submission in line with the agreed bid strategy *Where appropriate, act as a single point of contact to the client(s) ensuring dialogue and prompt response to requests for clarification, provision of further information, etc ![]() *Develop a responsibilities matrix and a realistic and up-to-date bid program ensuring that all activities are progressed in line with the required timescales *In collaboration with the CEO, COO, General Manager, Sales Director and/or Commercial Director build and mobilize a Global bid team *Evaluation of EOI's, PQQ's and Tender documentation providing guidance to the business and associated stakeholders as to lead disciplines and appropriate submission requirements *Where required, completing and returning Expressions of Interest (EOI) or submission of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) *Builds a knowledge base of bids including frequently asked questions, CV's, Case Studies, etc. *Keep all bid process paperwork up to date and ensure bid register and allocation of bid reference numbers are maintained within the bid library *Write and Maintain a comprehensive bid library with content that satisfies our PROM industry exacting standards for inclusion in the bid library *In cooperation with the GKAM's, client liaison, gaining intelligence of forthcoming bids *The GTM will identify the requirements for each ( identified priority ) bid and will have the ability to appoint a bid engineer or additional technical resource as required to support the complexity of each bid *The GTM will lead the bid response, in close cooperation with the Bid owner and the Global Tender team nominees covering all solutions offered by Kuehne + Nagel with focus on large/ complex bids, and bids where it is strategically important to participate. The GTM should establish a Central Post Proposal De-Brief document for use by the Bid owner to enable K+N to establish a gap analysis and improve the processes on future proposals. *The Global Tender Manager will manage the communication protocol with all internal and external stakeholders and maintain a Central bid reference system for Management reporting and analysis. *The Global Tender manager will develop a comprehensive bid library, manage the bid strategy and lobby and maintain strong links with outside sources to research and keep current the library content in line with both local and global legislation and current Project, Oil & Gas and Marine market Client criterion. The GTM will lead a dedicated and at times a virtual bid team convened on a tender by tender basis acting as the focal point for all technical, safety, quality and financial deliverables. *The Global Tender Manager will lead and manage the Global bid functions within Kuehne + Nagel and is required to compile winning design tender submissions in support of Global Sales and GKAM platforms. *The Global Tender Manager ( GTM ) shall develop a Centre of Excellence.
